Full Day #2
Today the first thing we did was go to see our classroom space in the ICTR (International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda). Within that building is an entire library devoted to educating people about the work of the ICTR, its role in the international justice system, and other issues concerning human rights abuses and genocide. There is an entire room of books that I want to read!--what is new?! I am so lucky that we will be able to use those resources while we are here!
After the tour of the rest of that building and lunch, we bought beautifully-patterned African fabric and took it to a tailor to have a custom dress made for each of us to wear at our program's closing ceremony here in Rwanda. So excited to see how it looks on me!
